Ottawa Hospital’s 3D printer makes moveable hand for accident victim

The Ottawa Hospital fitted a man who lost his left hand in a motorcycle accident with a flexible hand made with a 3D Printer. Printed from the recently launched hospital program that uses medical 3D printing…the first of its kind in Canada. 3D printing allows faster production time for prosthetics and allows surgeons to better understand complex anatomy before they get into the operating room.
