Steve sought out MIllars Lawyers after recognizing the Firm Culture was one that resonated with his dedication to service before self and work ethic. The firm is lucky to have connected with a young lawyer who embodies the old school principles of hard work, integrity and resiliency.
Steve didn’t become a lawyer so he could revel in his accomplishments and clink glasses with other lawyers, he became a lawyer to help people solve their problems and use his intellect and tenacity to make sure his client’s interests are protected.
Prior to joining the firm, Steve worked in a boutique business law firm that focused on complex corporate transactions, international acquisitions of private companies, commercial agreements, corporate reorganizations and commercial leasing.
His recent work on multi-million dollar share and asset purchases was transformative and unique in the London area. His practice focuses on helping clients in every phase of their business; from startup to structure and organization of internal stakeholders, corporate policies, financing and preparing to sell.
Steve was born and raised in London. He completed his B.A. at the University of Western Ontario and graduated on the Dean’s Honour Roll before expanding his horizons in the UK at the prestigious law school at the University of Birmingham in England, where he graduated with honours and developed a passion for surfing (ask him how when you meet him).
Steve is a world traveller, athlete and loves music. His passion is hockey and his crowning athletic moment was leading his British University hockey team to victory as their Captain, You can imagine the English playing hockey at the one area in the city and Steve giving them the inspiration to work hard in the corners…. Perhaps resembling a Canadian version of Ted Lasso.
